· Born in Chertsey, England while his father, Gordon Kimball, worked for McLaren. · Was accepted into the engineering program at Stanford, but opted to pursue a racing career. · Continues his racing career despite being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2007. Races with a "constant blood sugar monitor that wirelessly transmits" data, so if his level falls he can drink sugar water.

 

 
Career

2008
· Returns to Formula 3 Euroseries with Prema Powerteam. Finishes second in opening round and first race with Diabetes. Becomes spokesperson for DexCom - producers of his Continuous Glucose Mo

2007
· Competes in World Series by Renault. Prevented from completing the season due to Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis. Works with a team of diabetic specialists to return to optimum physical form

2006
· Moves to Formula 3 Euroseries. Wins at Zandvoort beating F1 race winner Sebastian Vettel and current F1 driver Kazuki Nakajima. First American ever to win a F3 Euroseries race

2005
· Graduates to British Formula 3. Wins 5 races, sets two track records, 2nd in Championship. First American in 13 years to win a British F3 race. Proves American drivers can be fast.

2004
· Moves to Europe to pursue Formula One dream Competes in British Formula Ford, wins two races and scores 5 poles

2003
· Competes in US Formula Ford 2000, wins 4 races, finishes 3rd in championship

2002
· Begins open-wheel racing, wins first car race ever and sets a new track record

2001
· On 16th birthday, tests Formula Ford. Falls in love with car racing

1994
·At age 9, Kimball begins go-karting, displays speed and talent
